Heliotrope like frost free tempatures, as well as temperatures below 100 degrees. We grow them as a spring and fall annual. Heliotrope may be able to survive the winter with proper protection from frost. 

Growing Instructions:

Start seeds indoors 10–12 weeks before your last frost.
Press seeds lightly into the soil surface—light aids germination. Do not cover deeply.
Keep soil consistently moist at 70–75°F until germination, which typically takes 14–28 days.
Transplant outdoors after all danger of frost has passed.
Deadhead spent blooms regularly to encourage continuous flowering.
